Mikey ran a hand over his stomach. Everyone had left now. He sighed quietly. "They hate me now. I ruined their wedding."

Mikey shivered at the touch. "What would you have done if I was dead?" Nils chewed hungrily on his father's wing.

Mikey smiled again, before shivering. "He was gonna take them out..." He traced a hand over his stomach and pouted. "I'm not that big. It's not everywhere."

"Our little army is going to be ten times more amazing," Butcher leaned down to kiss Mikey's stomach gently. "Aren't you guys?"

The baby crawled up to his papa and onto his lap. "The babies say yes." Mikey improvised.

Nils stared up at him with big eyes. Mikey poked Butcher's flat stomach. "Are they ok?"

"Burdee..." Nils reached out for Mikey's stomach with dazzled eyes. Mikey bit his lip. Would me dying affect them?

"I can't tell if what happened affected them. We might find something later when they hatch," Butcher opened his eyes again.

Butcher froze when he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. "Hello?" He asked after flipping it open.

Mikey rubbed his eyes with a sigh. He moved out of Butcher's lap so he could go if he needed to.
