A Theuraputic Chain of Events?

Ryland put Nils in his sling and held the boy there, turning to leave.

Ryland looked down at Nils and frowned. He wondered what the little boy was doing.

Ryland looked at the tiny avian's hair and looked closely at his face for the first time. He frowned as he climbed down the stairs and exited the building.

"You look like Russell," Ryland walked down the street. "But you've probably heard that before."

"Daddy's broken," Ryland replied.

"No more Daddy," Ryland didn't pay attention to where he was going. He was overshooting the park by a lot. "You're with Ryland now, kid."

Ryland frowned sullenly. "Of course Russell would father a child who looked exactly like him." He headed towards Dresden Avenue.

"You're strong for your size," Ryland grinned, drawing closer to Mike's house without realizing it.
