Butcher chuckled and leaned in to kiss Mikey's cheek. He seemed so much younger all of a sudden.

Mikey slowly made his way up the stairs.

Butcher smiled down at her, glad that she was getting along with Chester and Zeke at least for a little while.

Eyes glimmering, Josie reached out and pulled Chester's wing as hard as she could.

Mikey put the babies he was carrying on the bed.

"No Josie," Butcher said in a firm voice that wavered a little when Chester shifted around to glare at Josie in a way that only meant trouble. "Help," he squeaked to Mikey.

Mikey pulled a face and prised Josie out his lover's arms, wincing as she bit him.

Butcher tried to calm Chester down before anyone sprouted little flames.

"Ba," the little boy muttered grumpily and ignored him.

Mikey sighed and put Josie down by Reve.

Butcher set Chester and Zeke down away from Josie and put Tamsin with Adelaide. "Will you ever forgive Papa?"

Reve squealed and clamped onto Josie.

Chester turned away from his papa and curled up next to Zeke. Adelaide hugged Tamsin, and Chase closed his eyes.

Butcher looked down with a smile and laced his fingers through Mikey's.

Josie glared around balefully.
