Hell hath no lungs like Hatty

Demyx glanced at the henchman then leapt up and punched Garland in the face. He collapsed backwards, holding his face a little. Demyx grabbed Cyzarine and began running as fast as his legs would carry him.

Cyzarine clung onto Demyx, thankful her pin feathers were all okay. "Demyx, are you okay?" she asked, unable to try and glance over her shoulder. Her hair got in the way, though, and she soon gave up on that.

Demyx turned and ran into their room, slamming the door behind them. "Are you ok?!" He asked her worridly. His knuckle was completly split open now, bleeding and oozing. A lot.

Cyzarine nodded shakily. "Just...tired." she replied carefully. She spotted his hand and winced. "Demyx, you should get someone to look at that!" she exclaimed, moving out of his arms and heading towards the chest of drawers again.

Demyx shook his hand. "It's fine. I'm fine." He shook his hand again and then winced as he heard the flesh slip out of the bone a little.

Cyzarine shuddered a little at the sound - curse that Avian hearing - and fell to her knees, rumaging in the bottom draw. She drew out a first aid kit and looked to Demyx firmly.
"Come on, we'll at least bandage it." she told him.

Demyx paused. "Alright." He held her hand out to her, smiling fondly. "I love you."

Cyzarine smiled back, opening the first aid box as she did so. "I love you too." she replied softly. "Now I need you to give me a hand. I don't usually need to use this."

Demyx nodded and sat down on the bed, indicating for her to sit next to him.

Cyzarine did so, taking the box with her. She quickly put some gauze down, before bandaging it firmly. "That will hold it for now." she murmured. "I'm not so good with medical stuff. This should be fine, though." she explained, smiling apologetically. She gently stroaked the bandage and the back of his hand.

Demyx nodded a little. "My hand'll be fine!" He smiled and kissed her on the nose.

Cyzarine giggled a little, before her mind cast beck to her vision. She pulled a face and tried to forget what she'd seen.

The henchman glared round at him as he stormed down the corridor, trying to figure out where they'd gone. They hadn't broken into Mandible House to fail.

Demyx paused. "What's wrong Cyzie?" He asked, pulling her close to him.

Cyzarine frowned. "I had a vision." she revealed reluctantly. "It's weird, though. They always are, actually." she added. "That's why I collapsed."

Demyx smiled. "Do you want to go to sleep?" He offered.

Cyzarine bit her lip. "I'll be fine." she replied. "Besides, I get the feeling they haven't left yet. And since they want to kill you and...do something else to me, I'm staying awake."

Demyx smiled re-assuringly. "You go to sleep, I'll let you know if I hear anything."

Cyzarine hesitated uncertainly before shaking her head. "I'm fine, really." she assured him.

Demyx tapped her on the nose. "I insist."

Cyzarine shook her ehad again. "Can't." she stated simply, smiling again. "I'll be too busy trying to figure out how Garland knew where we were and how he could hear what you heard." she frowned. "I just don't get it. What could have caused that kind of connection?"

Demyx paused. "Perhaps its because he's taken me over before?" He suggested after a moment.

Cyzarine shook her head. "But I told you I loved you before that. Why did he only take you over then?" she murmured, frowning in thought.

Demyx shrugged. "I don't know. It was the best reason I could think of."

Cyzarine sighed. "Sorry. I just want to get rid of him before you get more than broken knuckles."

Demyx smiled. "I'll be fine." He gently laid her down on the bed. "Sleep."
