Hell hath no lungs like Hatty

Demyx smiled at Cyzarine. "That was beautiful. What song was it?" He asked, propping himself up on his elbows.

Cyzarine blinked in surprise, before smiling again. "Thanks! I don't knwo, actually. My mother used to sing it but I forgot all the words. Why?" she asked. She glanced back at the basket again. "Oh! Here's your stuff. Just get it out from mine, okay?"

Demyx smiled back and began rummaging through the basket. "I could of sworn I've heard it before." He shrugged. "Or maybe I just imagined it." Demyx smiled and removed his black skinny jeans, his black t-shirt with a blue guitar on and his socks.

Cyzarine giggled and started putting her own things away, glancing over her shoulder at Demyx when she turned her back. "Hmm, well, I'm not sure where she got it. I just end up humming it every so often." she told him.
She frowned and turned back to sorting out her things, becoming preocupied with balancing the basket again.

"Fair enough, I just...I just remember it is all. Faintly, but it's there." Demyx shrugged and began getting dressed, removing his spare underpants from his guitar case and beginning to tug them on...Cyzarine was right, there wasn't much he didn't have in this case.

Cyzarine sensed that Demyx was changing, and so strictly kept her back turned, cheeks darkening. She went back to sorting through the basket.

When he had finished dressing, Demyx paused a little. "That lullaby was beautiful, I remember the one my mama' used to sing...Except that was pretty morbid." He laughed a little.

Cyzarine turned back round smiling, her cheeks still slightly flushed. "I think they're the best ones." she admitted. "That's why a lot of people think I'm weird. I started humming them partly to annoy them and it kind of became a happy habit." She shrugged, almsot dropping the basket as she did so.

"Yes but this lullaby was REALLY morbid. It insulted my intire family...Showed her true feelings." Demyx shrugged and then paused. "I think these jeans have shrunk in the wash...There more tight than normal..." He paused. "Or maybe I've just gained weight..."

Cyzarine smiled. "Probably the wash." she told him, nodding. "You look fine to me. U-Umm, I mean..." she trailed off as she flushed again.

Demyx grinned. "What was that Cyzarine?" He came to stand behind her and slipped his arms around her waist. "I didn't quite hear you." He whispered in her ear.

Cyzarine's face grew redder. "I don't think you've gained weight, that's all..." she murmured, glancing back down at the basket again. "I-I should put these away..."

Demyx kissed her on the ear and pulled away. "I won't stand in your way then."

Forcing down the blush, Cyzarine smiled and walked towards the large oak wardrobe, brushing her lips against Demyx's cheek as she passed.
She worked wordlessly until she began to hum again, having forgotten Demyx was still there, it seemed. The tune was different but still as haunting as the first, speeding and slowing with the rhythm of a dance.

Demyx smiled as she began humming again. Instead of speaking he went to his guitar case, pulled out his minitaure music book and pen and began writing down what he assumed was the general rytham. Looks like there was something else he'd managed to cram in his guitar case.

Unaware of what Demyx was doing, Cyzarine continued to hum and even started to sway in time with it, whilst putting her things away dutifully. She had always enjoyed humming - it started with that one tune her mother had sung, and then she had invented her own. Of course, it was also a nice extra in that they had always vexed Garland at once, though this could also be seen as a bad thing.

Continuing to scribble the piece down, Demyx paused and grabbed his guitar. Slowly his hands began to move over the strings, folowing the song he had written down.

Cyzarine jumped a little and turned as she heard strings play behind her. She blinked in surprise before smiling as she saw the notebook he was following from.
"What are you doing?" she asked him, walking over, the almost-empty basket resting against her hip, held by one hand.

Demyx didn't reply, his mind focused on playing. As normal his playing had consequences, although this time it affected Cyzarine instead of Demyx.

Cyzarine listened to what Demyx was playing, recognising it as what she had been humming. Just as she was about to turn back and put her things away again, she noticed something: Demyx wasn't changing.
Frowning slightly she went over to pick up the mirror, her eyes widening when she saw herself.
"Whoa..." was all she could say, as she stared at the reflection of her eyes in amazement. The black pupil seemed to be swirling clockwise, while the red iris that marked her as avian was swirling anti-clockwise. The grey-blue iris also shifted clockwise.

Demyx reached the end of the peice and smiled up at Cyzarine, pausing when he saw her eyes. "How'd you do that Cyzie?" He asked in childlike wonder.

Cyzarine didn't know whether to blink at him in surprise or to cry. "D-Demyx?" She turned to face him, now slightly afraid at what was happening. "I-I'm not doing this. What's going on?"

Demyx frowned a little and then said. "Maybe it's because that peice was so personal to you." He shrugged a little and then smiled as her eyes began to go back to normal. "You'll be fine." He smiled reassuringly.

Cyzarine smiled back shakily, glancing at her reflection again and smiling wider when she saw her eyes settle completely. She let out a small sigh of relief.
"I'm kinda protective of my eyes." she admitted, as she went to put the mirror back. "Because my main power is sight, you know?"

Demyx nodded. "I understand." He cradled his guitar. "I'm protective of my baby." He laughed a little.
