Do You Wanna Leave or Something?

"Oops..." Butcher counted the babies on the bed. "You're right. I vote we revise this when we tell the story in the future."

Reve giggled and reached for Nils' wing.

Reve wrapped her arms around Nils in an awkward kind of first hug.

"Aww," Butcher pulled Chester, Zeke, and Josie closer to himself.

Butcher chuckled as he watched, carefully not mentioning cooties again, "See Nils? It will be nice having brothers and sisters."

Butcher sat up a little so he could look at all of them while Reve decided to give Tamsin a hug. Chester and Zeke looked asleep, curled up together. He looked at Josie warily.

"You're a charmer," Butcher picked Reve up and put her next to Josie since she was holding her arms out to the other little girl.

Butcher stayed still but he chuckled, "What are you thinking about, little man? How you're going to keep the troops in line?" He sighed inwardly in relief when Josie didn't scream.

Butcher squeaked and looked down at his leg in disbelief before trying to pat out the flames, placing other babies out of the way first.

Butcher carefully moved himself away from the children in preparation to remove himself from the bed. Reve watched with wide eyes, clinging to Josie.

"What's going on?!" Butcher panicked a little, slipping off the bed to put out the fire on his leg.

"Chester sneezed and my leg set on fire but now he won't move," Butcher flailed a little.

Reve giggled and cuddled Josie, glad that the fire wasn't near her anymore.

Butcher sighed happily when he was no longer on fire and slumped back onto the bed. "It was Josie or Reve."

Reve giggled and waved her arms at Mikey, looking curiously at the Butcher and patting his leg.
