Do You Wanna Leave or Something?

"Just a sneeze, sweetie," Butcher rubbed Tamsin's back. "Are you cold Nils?" He pulled the toddler closer to him.

"Oof," Butcher grunted. "Tamsin, you're squishing Papa change back!"

"Please Tamsin!" Butcher said in a strained voice, trying to move the baby elephant off of his chest.

"I don't blame you Nils," Butcher said in a quiet voice, unable to move for the most part, "That was scary."

"Tamsin's still an okay burdee," Butcher lifted his head a little more to look at his chest. "As long as she doesn't squish anyone."

"What's wrong, Tamsin?" Butcher grunted as he bent slightly to kiss her forehead.

"Oh please tell me the others are going to stay in their eggs for awhile and you two are just early," Butcher looked at Tamsin, jinxing his own luck. "Are you hungry? Papa can't feed you and he can't get up."

"Papa's going to pass out, kiddos," Butcher let his head fall back on the bed. "Please be nice and fall asleep," he cuddled Tamsin and Nils to him with his uninjured arms.

Better recover now before they all hatch or I'll never get better... Butcher thought as he drifted off, smiling as he felt Nils cuddle up to his side and Tamsin fall asleep.

Butcher grunted as his ribs fixed themselves and felt instantly more comfortable with having two babies on his chest.

Butcher snored slightly, not moving in his sleep.

Butcher twitched slightly in his sleep as he dreamed of being sat upon by a baby elephant again as the rest of his children attacked him.

Butcher calmed as the dream changed and he and Mikey cuddled their sleepy babies.
