Human Arrival

Cyzarine hesitated for a moment, then pulled a face. "Moon patterns." she replied, speaking quietly as if she were ashamed to say it.

"Really? I like the moon when its full, I used to go and sit on my roof and stare at it for hours." He blushed a little. "People always used to call me a freak for it."

Cyzarine smiled. "I don't think you're a freak." she frowned. "Although the roof probably isn't the safest place for you to be on the full moon. Especially here in Chicago." She went to put what could now be recognised as moon charts back in the bedside cabinet draw.

"Well that was back when I lived in New Orleans. We didn't have Avians back there, at least not that I know of anyway." Demyx stood up and walked over, looking at the moon charts.

Cyzarine nodded. "Well, please don't do that on full moons here. That's when avians hunt, you see." She seemed to be slightly uncomfortable around the subject - Cyzarine wasn't entirely proud about the way she'd kill humans to feed, but she had no alternative.

Demyx smiled at her. "You don't have to feel bad about feeding on humans, humans feed on animals and animals feed on other animals, so why should Avians feeding on humans be looked down upon so? Living is living." He pulled Cyzarine into a hug and kissed her on the forehead gently.

Cyzarine smiled and leant into his touch. "Thanks Demyx. I'm glad you see it that way. Not many people would, I imagine." she kissed him on the lips lightly, smiling wider.

Demyx smiled and kissed her gently. "Like I said, I used to get called a freak. My views were very...different, to everyone elses."

Cyzarine giggled. "Different is good." she said firmly, nodding once. "I've been called insane almost my whole life. I'm used to having my views made fun of." She kissed him once more, giggling again a little as she pulled away.

Demyx kissed her again, smiling as he pulled back and said. "Your not insane you're....special!" He chuckled a little. "Well I used to get called weird because I was the only thirteen year old who was obsessed with Vampires, Werewolfs and...um..." He trailed off, looking embaressed.

Cyzarine moved her face a little closer to peer directly into his eyes, her grey-blue orbs hitting his aqua ones. "And what?" she asked, smiling at him in a way she hoped was reassuring and encouraging. She wanted Demyx to trust her like she trusted him, but knew it wasn't something she could force.

He gulped a little. "Every heard of Disney?..." He bit his lip a little, surely Cyzie would think him a baby now...

"The company? They're cute." she giggled. She frowned. "Demyx, are you ashamed?" she asked, frowning into his eyes. "You shouldn't be. I love you and you've helped me. You think I'd think less of you because of something like that?" Her eyes softened sadly. Maybe he didn't trust her after all...

"No I mean the movies they used to make..." He looked up at her and smiled a little. "It's not that I'm ashamed, it's just...I feel a bit childish." He smiled a little and took her hands in his. "I know you wouldn't think less of me, it's more a case of...Well me thinking less of me."

Cyzarine smiled slightly and tilted her head to one side again. "That doesn't make sense." she stated, her tone light, amused and confused, reflected in her eyes. "You are who you are. Your past makes you who you are today, and gives you strength." she giggled. "And if it helps, I cried after watching Bambi." she admitted.

He smiled. "I never watched Bambi Although I used to be obsessed with Hercules to name one of them." He grinned goofily. "Oh and Mr Men! I loved those!" He blushed a little. "When I was very little obviously."

Cyzarine laughed lightly and shook her head. "You're so lucky, Demyx." she murmured, looking down, her eyes softening sadly.

He blinked. "Why? My life hasnt been that great- well, until now." He smiled at her lovingly.

Cyzarine smiled back, before sighing. "Well, you didn't move from your hometown when you were nine and end up travelling around until you ended up fledging at twelve and coming back, only to get kidnapped. You had a normal life, got to do ordinary things...and all of a sudden I'm bringing you into my bad life." she shook her head. "I'm really sorry, Demyx. You're the best thing that's happened to me, apart from finding Hatty and realising Mikey would take me in even though I was, well insane."

Demyx looked down, a little ashamed. "Sorry, I didnt mean for you to think I had a normal life." He turned away from her then looked back and whispered. "Did you have to see you entire family get killed before your own eyes?"

Cyzarine blinked in surprise, before shaking her head numbly, eyes wide. "You...You saw that?" she whispered, taking Demyx's chin and making him look at her. "I've killed." she reminded him. "And my powers have been used for bad things. I'm no better than whoever killed them."

Demyx nodded a little. "But as I said before you kill to survive, this person killed them because...Because..." Tears escaped from his aqua eyes. "Because they could." His voice was barely above a whisper now.

Cyzarine blinked sadly, before standing on her tiptoes and kissing Demyx's cheek as a tear rolled there. "People are bad." she agreed quietly. "Garland thought I was so strong, but...I just never let him see me cry." She lowered her eyes and suppressed a small shudder as a memory flashed in front of her vision.

Demyx gently pulled Cyzarine into his arms, kissing her forehead lovingly. "It's ok to cry sometimes Cyzie...Trust me, if you keep it all bottled up...Bad things happen." Demyx shuddered himself.

Cyzarine frowned and a curious look flickered onto her face, before she nodded. She could tell that now was not the time to ask about that. Another memory flashed before her eyes and she nodded in agreement with what Demyx had said, wincing slightly as a fraction of the pain shot through her before disappearing again.
"Bad things..." she repeated quietly; able to think of several instances where things had gone wrong.
