Peace talks in a city of war

Roxine growled quietly and leapt at him with Hestia. The two girls pinned him to the ground, panting heavily. However, they were pretty much tied up themselves.

Gabriel pushed Hestia and Roxine to one side. "Leave him- he is mine. This is my true test of if I can be Alpha or not."

Roxine rolled off of Hestia and glared at Gabriel and Mr Oliver. She remained silent and watched. Hestia got up and went to Stephan.

Gabriel changed into his leopard form and shot one last look at Roxine before diving at Mr Oliver.

Roxine grimaced and turned away so she wasn't watching. She grinned when she saw Hestia doing the same.

Stephan looked up at Hestia worridly as Gabriel and Mr.Oliver began fighting. "Will my father be ok?" He glanced over at Roxine as he said that.

Roxine stopped grinning. "Hey, he's Gabriel. Have some faith." Oh dear God I just realised what that meant...Gabriel? Faith? Oh sweet mother of crap this is turning corny...

Stephan winced as he heard the sound of flesh being torn. "It sounds painful.."

Roxine grimaced and Hestia shuddered. "Yeah..." Wish I didn't remember that sound so well.

Stephan bit his lip and looked at Roxine. "Promise me he'll be ok!"

Roxine shook her head. "I can't do that." she told him quietly, getting to her feet again. "But what I can promise is that I am not gonna let him die. Stand back, this is gonna get ugly, either before or after I join in."

Stephan leapt up. "You can't!" He cried. "If you join in- then Mr.Oliver can kill my father!"

Roxine stopped and looked back at Stephan. "...Splainy?" she asked. Translation: explain.

Stephan sighed. "It's acient Alpha law- This a test of Gabriel's strength, if you interfer it shows he is weak and Mr.Oliver can kill him."

Roxine frowned and nodded. "Fine. But if anything attacks me I'm fighting back!" she added.

Stephan shook his head. "Mr.Oliver is the only threat."

Roxine nodded. "Fine." she sat back again, glaring at the fight.

Gabriel hissed as Mr.Oliver broke his arm, back handing his master.

Roxine's eyes narrowed on the fight before she got to her feet again. "C'mon, we're backing away." she told Hestia and Stephan, pulling them back a little.

Stephan crawled backwards a little, eyes locked on Gabriel who was currently on the floor withering in pain.

Roxine winced. "Gabriel!" she yelled. She paused, not entirely sure what she wanted to say next. "Have a little Faith."

Gabriel let out a laugh. "Easier said than done my lady." He leapt up and rugby tackled Mr.Oliver.

Roxine smiled as she saw him get back into the fight. She glanced back at Hestia. "Get outta here, Hestia. You too, Kiddo. I'm gonna stick around. You know me: never one to leave when there's a fight going on."

Stephan pouted. "I won't leave my dad!"

Roxine glared at him, although it was more reprimanding than mean. "Go." she todl him sternly. Hestia nodded and tugged him away.
"Roxy'll take care of it. Gabriel won't want you getting hurt." she told him.
