Aliceabella woke with a quiet yawn, make up smeared across her face.

Evangeline stayed sleeping, a surprisingly peaceful look on her face.

Aliceabella stood up and crossed the room, heading into the bathroom to wash her face.

Evangeline shivered in the cold, shrinking back to her 10-year-old form without knowing.

Aliceabella filled the bath with warm water and slid into it, smiling happily.

Evangeline curled up, breathing faint. Even for a ten-year-old she looked small.

Aliceabella finished in the bath and wriggled into one of her maternity dressed, black with a small amount of lace. Looking like a dark whale, she plodded back into the bedroom.

Evangeline mumbled in her sleep and rolled onto her back.

Aliceabella smiled and walked over to Evangeline, "Wakey, wakey." She sang, tickling the girl.

Evangeline's eyes snapped open and she wriggled away, squeaking in surprise. "Huh?"

"Morning." Aliceabella giggled and sat next to Evangeline, "This little piggy went to market," She poked the girl's foot.

Evangeline almost-pouted. Because a vampire-witch like her did NOT pout. "I'm not a child!" she protested.

"But I need someone to practise my mothering skills on, I'm practically ready to burst." Aliceabella giggled. With no make up on she looked like a child herself.

Evangeline flushed indignantly. "And you pick me?!" she almost-flailed. Because Evangeline A.K. McDowell didn't flail either.

Aliceabella giggled and poked Evangeline's stomach, "Yes little miss Ten year old."

Evangeline's blush grew from mingled anger and embarrassment. "H-Hey! Not my fault! I'm not really ten years old!!"

Aliceabella smiled, "Yeah, yeah, I know."

Evangeline kicked her legs and slapped the bedsheets. "I hate this stupid curse!!" she almost-flailed again, looking like a ten-year-old throwing a tantrum.
