Mike soared in the Chicago skies, carrying the body in his arms. He found its weight to be much less than his pregnant boyfriend's had been. Before dropping him in an empty alley, he closed his eyes and dug his claws inside the man's cheek, slashing them and tearing the skin enough to make him unrecognizable. He flew down, dropped the corpse, waiting until he heard it touch the ground, and flew upwards again.

Mike felt sick, but managed to hold it back. It was only then that he realized how cold the air was; he hurried home, not once looking down.
