Mike wasn't affected. He pinned the boy down on the couch, not giving a damn about anyone looking at him. "What did the Council tell you to do?" he repeated, his wings tearing his shirt and spreading.

Tom whimpered, tears pouring down his face. He shook his head, turning away. The boy choked on his sobs.

Tom was rigid with fear, his dark eyes full of horror. His chest heaved as he panicked.
