Damian shrugged. "Now, does Ryland have any family or not?"

Wren frowned. "Can I get up first?" she asked hopefully, watching in amusement as the men gave up and walked away again.

Damian shook his head. "I'm not an idiot. Now tell me."

Wren sighed. "His father was the previous leader of the clan. Never that nice a man from what I heard - I got into Chicago as soon as he was gone. I don't know what happened to him but knowing the way of the clan Ryland probably killed him. Don't think he has any other family. Happy now?"

Damian sighed and stood up. "Go back to your 'clan'." He hissed.

Wren stood up as well and backed away a little, glaring at him. "What are you going to do?"

Damain raised an eyebrow. "And I'm going to tell you because?..."

Wren shrugged. "Because I'm awesome?"

Damian raised an eyebrow. "No."

Wren's smirk grew. "Are you saying I'm not awesome?"

Damian nodded. "Basically."

Wren glared at him. "And why not?" she snapped.

Damian smirked. "Do I really need to answer that?"

Wren's eyebrows rose. Oh, no you didn't. "I think you'd better."

Damian glanced back at her, looking her up and down. "I don't state the obvious."

Wren's eyes flashed dangerously. "Try me." she growled.

Damian shook his head. "Nah."

Wren raised an eyebrow. "Why not?"

Damian smirked. "I have a child to get back to and a ex wife to annoy- I dont have time."

Wren smirked back confidently. "In that case..." she stepped closer. "I'll just have to hold you up." she smiled sweetly.

Damian scowled. "You can die trying."

Wren shrugged and stepped closer again. "Don't ask, don't get."

Damian raised an eyebrow. "Take another step and I'll break your neck."

Wren grinned. "Can I step like this-?" she stepped to the side slightly.

Damian backhanded her. "Don't get smart with me."
