So kick me while I'm down

Roxine laughed a little before quickly stopping. "Put me down!" she demanded again, unable to hide the small smirk on her face.

Gabriel chuckled and threw her up in the air again- higher this time, but still catching her with ease.

Roxine let out a quiet shriek; blushing furiously when she landed and realised what she'd done. She poked his shoulder semi-angrily. "Don't do that!"

Gabriel laughed. "Why not?"

Roxine seemed stuck for words. "B-Because!" she spluttered, her face still red. "I-I don't like it!"

Gabriel shrugged. "Not a good enough reason."

Roxine scowled at him, trying to stay angry. "Gabriel!" she whined. "Put me down!" She repeated, drawing out 'down'.

Gabriel shook his head. "no."

Roxine pouted. "Why not?"

Gabriel shrugged. "Don't really feel like it."

Roxine scowled at him. "Put me down! I can still walk!" she protested, kicking her legs to try and prove her point.

Gabriel shrugged gracefully and continued walking, pausing as he saw some people running and screaming. He laughed and continued walking.

Roxine frowned. "What's going on?" she murmrued, not expected Gabriel to know. What if one of my girls is being hurt there?

Gabriel laughed again. "Wereleopards on the loose." He smirked darkly

Roxine raised an eyebrow. "Do I want to know why?" she teased, semi-serious. "You do realise that if even one of my girls is seriously hurt or about to be I'll raise hell, right?"

Gabriel sighed. "I know..." He looked up. "It's a boy their eating."

Roxine frowned and peered at the sight as best she could, squirming in Gabriel's arms. She pulled a face. "Okay, next time I'm jsut not gonna look. You guys are messy eaters in general, I think."

Gabriel smiled. "Thank you." He kissed her ear.

Roxine frowned. "Thanks for what?" she asked, not minding the kiss despite her confusion.

Gabriel smirked. "I meant it as a joke, you called us messy eaters."

Roxine flushed a little. "Oh." she grinned sheepishly. "Whoopsie!"

Gabriel smirked and suddenly allowed her to walk along, as he changed and ran ahead to feast on the man.

Roxine quickly regained her balance and before rollnig her eyes as she realsied what he had dropped her for. She waited patiently, smirked thoughtfully. Normally I'd have walked off by now...Chicago is turning out to be a good thing.

Gabriel walked back, wiping the blood from his face and smirking. "I'm happy now."

Roxine rolled her eyes playfully and ran ahead a few paces with a laugh. "Oh no! You're not getting blood on my clothes, Gabriel!"
