"Instinct," William thought aloud, nodding his head slowly. He stared down at himself again when the movement increased a little. "They really must be twins," he whispered, petting the side of his stomach softly.

"That'll be painful." Mikey laughed, watching the other man with a smile. "But seriously, even though Carden doesn't deserve it... I hope you're happy."

William looked up at Mikey with a grin, knowing that the other man had meant what he had said. "Thank you, I really appreciate it," he smiled. "And if there's anything I can ever do to help you, just ask." I really mean that.

Mikey shrugged, almost turning his hands over. "Argh!" He muttered to himself, clasping them together so he couldn't.

William gave a weak smile. "Is that how you see Nick and Angel?" he asked, his curiosity getting the best of him.

Mikey nodded. "Last night. There was a little... escapade." He bit his lip. Escapade was putting it lightly. "That involved me losing my temper and running to my room... but anyway. Apparently, I have a new power, and it's called partial recall."

William gave the man a small, fond smile. "I'm glad you get to see them. Angel is a beautiful girl," he added, remembering how delicate the young girl looked earlier.

Mikey flushed. "Thank you." He bit his lip. "Good thing she doesn't take after me, huh?"

William shook his head. "She resembled you in a lot of ways. I bet her personality is like yours too," he smiled. "She seemed very free spirited and happy."

Mikey blushed deeper. "She was... crazy. But loving. Very loving."

William smiled. "I can imagine. You must have been a great father," he mused, thinking aloud again.

Mikey shook his head. "Not really." If I had been, I would have been able to save her, or make sure she didn't die alone.

"You had to have been if she's able to be that happy. How a parent raises their child is reflected in the way the child acts." William surprised himself, wondering where that piece of knowledge had come from. I haven't even had kids yet and I'm alrady talking like I have!

I think he wants to see Nick and Angel again. "It's getting late. I'll go get Mike and we'll leave you to what you were doing before we came." He smiled. "Thanks for helping me understand and for all of the tips. I appreciate it," he said, standing up with a small groan, amazed by how much effort it took.

Mikey stood up to help him, steadying him. "Thanks for talking." He said in a quiet voice. "It meant a lot to me."

"It's no problem," he said in a quiet voice. "If you ever need to go it again, you know where to find me," he smiled, thankful that Mikey had helped him keep his balance, He walked towards the door, not sure fi Mikey would follow or not.

"And if you need help." Mikey followed him out, a hand placed on his elbow. "You know where to find me." He squeezed William's arm briefly before he dropped it.

William smiled again. "Thanks. I really appreciate it," he said as he walked down the hallway, back towards Mike and Butcher.

Mikey nodded, shoving his hands in his pockets as he followed William, wing tips gently trailing across the floor.
