In your eyes, I lost my place, could stay a while...

"Russell," Mike suddenly said. "Don't take it personal, but you're really freaking me out right now." He tried to get in the conversation, if only to forget about his injury.

Butcher suddenly lifted Mike's shirts up to expose his back. "It doesn't look that bad. Just the bruises, but those will go away." He felt a surge of confidence flow through him at how small and smooth he'd gotten the scars to look.

He decided to peer over Mike's shoulder at Mikey to see just what he was doing that freaked Mike out so much.

William balanced the book on one arm, the bottle in that hand while his other hand rubbed his stomach as he read a few paragraphs from the book in his mind. He looked up to Mikey and nodded. "Thanks." He kept looking down at the book.

Mikey nodded in acceptance, before turning to Mike. "I'm freaking you out? How do you think I feel?"

What did Mikey mean? I'm the one freaking them out? Mike violently pushed Butcher away. "Don't!" He tugged his shirt down.

"It doesn't look that bad," Butcher shrugged and took the chance to run off and snatch his hoodie from the laundry room, sensing that maybe their visit was drawing to a close.

William looked up from the book and closed it as he stared at Mike and then back at Mikey. One hand remained on his stomach as he glanced around at everyone. He remained silent, not wanting to start anything.

"Good luck." Mikey directed the words at William. "I think we've outstayed our welcome here, but if you ever want to talk about it, then you know where to find us. Andrew!"

Mike looked down, ashamed for having overreacted. "T-Thanks... I mean this." He knew no one was doing it for him, but they deserved his respect.

Butcher returned wearing his hoodie, "Bye Mike and Bill. Take care of yourselves."

William nodded in response to Butcher's comment. He smiled at both Mikey and Butcher. "Thank you. I appreciate it. And I might have to take you up on that offer," he said while looking down at himself again.

"You'll be fine. I was fifteen." With that, Mikey took off through the open window, pushing himself up against the wind.

"Fifteen," Mike mouthed, almost horrified. He sat next to William and sighed.

"Erm..." Butcher watched Mikey go. "I'm going to use the door. Bye guys," he walked back to the entrance and made sure the door was firmly shut behind him when he left before letting the wind catch his wings.

William sat down with a sigh, letting out all of the air he had been holding in. He sat the book and the bottle in his lap, frowning slightly.

"Sorry if I...lost my temper," Mike said in a small voice. He leaned closer to William to get a better look at the book. "What does it say?"

"It's fine," William said quietly, petting his stomach softly. "I'm no sure what it says. It's mostly about a vampire's health from what I've read so far." He frowned again, wrinkling his nose a little.

"We should both read it, then," Mike decided. "For you and the baby. Is there a chapter on pregnant vampires?"

William rested the book on the top of his stomach. He flipped to the contents page. He skimmed throught he list before finding what he needed. "Male pregnancy," he said quietly, flipping to the marked page

Mike chuckled. "It sounds a tad creepy when it's said like that."

"Well, I'm not a woman, am I?" He paused for a moment. "Wait, don't answer that," he smirked. As he reached the page, he balanced the book between himself and Mike.

Mike was gald to see William still had a sense of humor. He started reading the page. "It sounds like Pregnancy for Dummies. They really explain everything." He kept reading. "Do you see anything about special things you have to do when you're pregnant?"

William shook his head, biting his lip in thought. "Do you?" he asked, a hand still over his stomach protectively. This is really complicated.

"Well, there's the usual things, like resting and eating and...oh." Mike read it again to make sure he wasn't mistaken. "You won't like this, Bill." He put his index on the sentence. "It says you have to drink blood." He frowned.

William frowned. "I was afraid of that," he mumbled. He looked over to Mike. "There's one thing I know for sure," he began, still frowning.
