Roxine blinked as she and Jade touched down at Mandible House. A few seconds passed before she took her arms from the other's waist and relaxed a little. To say she wasn't the greatest flyer would probably be accurate.

"You made it alive," Jade stated, almost impressed. "Welcome to the Mandible House." She knocked twice and waited for someone to open the door.

Roxine raised an eyebrow at her and followed, waiting. The house seemed pretty quiet considering it housed avians like Jade and Mikey Russell, though that may have been due to its size.
"What exactly do you lot do here?" she asked, not wanting any kind of awkward silence to settle.

"We bring back food to share." She snickered. "Relax! I'm just kidding. This is our sanctuary away from people who could harm us. We live here among other Avians." She lead Roxine up the stairs.

Roxine let Jade lead her, smirking slightly at the joke. She really rather liked this girl, even if she was avian.
"Sounds...nice." she said carefully. "I never really had that, what with leading a gang in New York." she added, trying to shrug it off afterwards.
Why the hell did I say that?! she wondered mentally, giving herself a kick while she was at it.

"You could have it if you decided to stay here with us." She stopped, and added, "with me." You're much more like us than you're like them. You should be Avian.

Roxine paused, realising this was true. "...I suppose." she replied slowly, not really wanting to say those words.
If she said those words...it was like half giving in. Where would her edge be if she found a loving home? Some place nice that she really wanted to stay? Roxine knew that half her redibility as Roxine Joanna MacBeth, girl-gang leader, was the way she could block everyone else out, take no shit from no one, and swear like the Scotsman she was decended from.
She shook her head firmly and shot a glare at Jade. "NO! No supposing!" she said sternly, putting a hand to her head. "Roxine Joanna MacBeth is not able to have a home like this!"

"You don't understand the difference between what you can do and what you want to do, right? It's too bad. I thought you were smarter than that, miss Roxy." Jade dove for the woman's neck but, instead of biting it, kissed it. "Of all my victims, I had to fall for the dumb one," she whispered. "Maybe it's good you can't stay, then."

Roxine smiled sadly and shook her head. "I...I have a reputation." she whispered. "I'm the one that looks after my entire gang. If I just...disappear to join another side, what will people think? What will they think of me, my family - of the girls?" she shook her head again. "No. I can't do that."

"Leaders shouldn't worry about what other people might think. You have to be independant in your choices." It was Jade's turn to show a sad smile. She had really wanted Roxine to stay permanently at the Mandible House, but she didn't have the heart to keep her there against the woman's will. "I understand, though. You care about those girls a lot, don't you?" I've been foolish. For a moment I thought you could care about me. Human, Avian...I had forgotten. Jade raised herself on the tip of her toes, wings spread out, and softly kissed the taller girl's lips. "I wouldn't blame you if you decided to stay for the night."

Roxine nodded, liking both the kiss and the way Jade seemed to understand her position. "You're right. These girls...they followed me from New York to Chicago without a word against me, trusting I'd make sure they were okay." she explained. "I...The only solution I can see is for the whole gang to turn avian, and I don't think that's really practical, you know?" She pressed her lips to Jade's in return. "You offer's sounding interesting, though." she teased.

"Really? Maybe I should make you visit the place, then," she said excitedly, taking the girl's hand in her own. "How about we start with my room...?" Jade felt a weird sensation in her stomach, as if something really good was about to happen. She didn't know what to make of it.

Roxine blinked at the suggestion, before grinning slyly. She grasped the avians's hand tighter, and moved her mouth to her ear.
"That sounds...pleasurable." she replied huskily, smirk widening. Roxine had had plently of one-night stands, but never with an avian, and never with the intention to even see the person again as a friend. So why was Jade suddenly so different from that?

Jade dragged Roxine further in the corridor, not quite avoiding the glares of several Avians along the way as she giggled. When she arrived in front of her room, she pushed the woman's back against the wooden door and kissed her lustfully, a hand on the back of Roxine's thigh and the other trying to turn the handle and get inside. I think I'm in love with you.

Roxine let Jade pull her along, but when she was suddenly pushed aginst a door and kissed, she fought back with equal amount of lust. Aware of the hand on the back of her thigh, she went to return the favour and place her own hands on the other's thighs. What's happening to me?

Jade finally managed to open the door after many unsuccessful attempts. She broke the kiss long enough to bring the woman inside and kick the door to close it. "So that's my room," she announced before letting herself drop on her large bed and pulling Roxine on top of her. "And that's my bed."

Roxine laughed, letting Jade pull her on top of her. She kissed the other quickly, before rolling over to the side to lie next to her, still smiling widely. She didn't care what was happening to her.

Jade caressed the other woman's cheek. "I'm starting to think I like you a lot, and it scares me." She smiled, and moved her hand down to slide it under Roxine's shirt.

Roxine raised an eyebrow and grabbed Jade's hand, halting it from going higher. She rolled back over on top of her again. "Why is liking me so bad?" she asked teasingly, kissing her gently. "I like you and I'm not so scared. Then again, that may be because I have hormonal control of a rabbit." she added, smirking.

"Because," she ran her fingers in Roxine's hair, "I'm afraid it's going to turn into more than just liking." I know you can't be with me so let's not screw this up. She placed her free hand on the woman's lower back. "But who cares, right?" She smirked. "I want you here and now and I'm not scared of that."

Roxine frowned. "I care." she murmured, kissing and licking Jade's neck, smiling absently as she did so. "So we're not Love's favourite pupils - big whoop."
She suddenly couldn't decide whether to press her skin to the hand on her back or the body below her. She chose the body.

Jade gasped at the contact. "Okay." She tugged at the fabric of the girl's top and lifted it above her head, throwing it aside. It hit a lamp and knocked it off. "Oops." She smiled and shrugged.

Roxine smirked and tore at Jade's top, tugging it part of the way off, before realising it was difficult with the wings there. She glanced to the girl for help. "Care to join me?"

Jade laughed and rolled over, catching Roxine between her legs and under her. "It's easier like that." She took the shirt off by herself, and made her wings flutter slightly. Unike Roxine, Jade wasn't wearing any underwear. She thought it was bothersome.
