"Yes," Sisky kept a firm grip on Nils as she looked for Mikey. "I won't let anything happen to you. Caitlyn would kill me."

Mikey didn't respond, huddling up even further. The blood stained his shirt.

"Kaywin..." Nils purred.

Sisky petted Nils' hair. "Where is he?" She marched resolutely through the corridor.

Butcher perked up slightly, "Where is who?"

Mikey rolled precariously yet unknowingly towards the fire.

"Papa." Nils cooed.

"We'll go that way," Sisky moved towards the sound of the man's voice.

Butcher reached out to pull Mikey closer.

The man kept totally still, shuddering only slightly.

Nils drooled on her shoulder sleepily.

Sisky spotted the Butcher on the floor and knelt next to him. "Oh." She looked at Mikey.

Butcher smiled sadly and kept a hand out to catch Mikey, "Sleepy, Nils?"

Mikey's subconscious bided its time.

Nils purred sleepily.

"He doesn't look good," Sisky looked down at Nils for a moment before turning her eyes back to Mikey.

"He's..." Butcher trailed off and took a closer look and then nodded slowly in agreement, holding his arms out for Nils.

Mikey's body rolled immeadiately towards the fire. Unbelievably, he had no real conception.

Nils grizzled at the smell of burning flesh and hair.

Sisky put Nils down so she could give Butcher a little shove. "Do something!"

"Mikey!" Butcher's eyes widened as he reached to pull him away from the fire.

This time, Mikey's eyes remained closed as he was pulled out.

Nils chewed on his hand.

Sisky picked Nils back up and held him in her lap silently.

Butcher supported Mikey's head as he held him, "Mikey? Can you hear me?"

Still not opening his eyes, Mikey burrowed into Butcher's lap.

Nils shook his head violently, his waist length hair flying everywhere.

Butcher hide his face in Mikey's chopped hair with a little sniffle. "Mikey, it's going to be okay."

Mikey groaned softly. "What...?"

Nils reached for one of Sisky's curls and pulled it, giggling as it sprung back into shape.
