Michael's face fell and he nuzzled Tom's hair, unsure of what to say. He was incredibly sorry what he'd done. He'd lost faith that he'd get Tom back for just a moment and in that short time had ruined multiple lives.

Tom chewed quietly on his knuckle, staring at his useless legs.

"I should have tried harder," Michael leaned back a little to look at Tom and smiled softly at the fact that he mostly looked like that same man he used to.

Tom gently let his fingers trail over Michael's chest. "I want him out of my head. I want him out of my body." He whispered.

Michael looked up and saw that they hadn't actually wandered far from the building. "Oh, right." He shifted to stand back up with Tom.

Tom slipped his arms around Michael's neck to make it easier for him to be moved.
