William smiled, snuggling into Mike with his children in his arms. Joshua continued to make small frustrated noises.

Mike tried to pet Joshua's head, but his son bit his finger instead. His fangs were so small there wasn't any pain. His father raised an eyebrow. "Daddies aren't food. Mommies are."

William smiled. "Ahh, but daddies have babies too," he told Joshua, watching as the baby kept Mike's finger in his mouth.

Mike chuckled. "Daddy usually bottoms," he said.

William looked at Mike with wide eyes and a grin. "No saying that in front of our children," he chuckled, leaning into Mike carefully.

"They're too young to understand," Mike defended. "And hopefully they'll always be. I don't want one of our sons ending up like Mikey..."

William laughed, holding his sons close. Joshua made a giggling sound at Mike's voice, looking as if he had understood what the guitarist had said.

Mike smiled at his son, a little confused. "You're not supposed to laugh at me." He poked his nose, only to get bitten again.

"Do you think he's hungry?" William chuckled.

"Apparently," Mike remarked. "Do vampire babies eat normal baby food, too?"

William nodded. "I think they do," he said quietly, watching as Sarah-Gabrielle tried to turn over. Her body to weak to do so, she nearly fell off of Mike's stomach.

Mike caught her securely between his hands, and positioned her the way she wanted to be, tickling his daughter's stomach as he did. "We could make our own baby food."

"How?" William asked, trying to keep Christopher comfortable as he slept. It was obvious that Joshua was fighting sleep.

Mike was suddenly very enthusiastic. "You've never watched those cooking shows, have you? Well since babies eat soft food, we can mash fruits or vegetables, and add sugar or spices. It's healthier than what they sell in stores, and it's cheaper for the quantity we can make."

William laughed at Mike's enthusiasm, a grin pulling on his lips. "It sounds like a good idea," he smiled, watching as Joshua finally settled down.

Mike was oblivious to his strange new motherly side. He petted his stomach thoughtfully. "But you won't see me knitting them clothes anytime soon."

William smiled, nodding his head. He made soothing noises as Joshua resisted sleep yet again. "I think I should put the crib together so they can sleep."

William's words were answered with a whine from an aggravated Joshua. He carefully passed Christopher over to Mike and held Joshua a little higher, looking into the baby's frustrated eyes.

Mike kissed the top of Christopher's head, his eyes still on Joshua. "Do you think he wants sleep, or he doesn't want sleep? Is there a guide to understanding baby language?"

"I think he needs sleep, but he doesn't want to sleep," William whispered, using a finger to play with his son's hair very gently. He kissed the top of the boy's head, watching as his eyes started to close.

Mike smiled. "Why, that reminds me of someone." He looked down to see that Sarah-Gabrielle was already sleeping.

William smiled, leaning back and relaxing as he watched Joshua falling asleep. The tiny baby rested its head on William's forearm, its face resting on the man's chest.

Mike loved how peaceful his family looked. Christopher had wrapped his tiny fingers around a wrinkle in his father's shirt, fighting sleep.

William smiled at all three of their children. "They're beautiful," he couldn't help but to whisper it again. Even with their scratches and bruises, their children looked so small and delicate.

"They are," Mike whispered as well the moment Christopher finally closed his eyes. They looked far from conventional babies, with their fangs and, in some cases, feathers, but no one could ever find them scary. They were nothing but adorable.
