"I guess I should..." Michael said awkwardly, picking up the glass of water from where he left it. "Thank you. I probably didn't deserve it, and I wish I could pay you back." He started for the door.

Matt lifted Caitlyn off Tom's chest and handed him the medicine.

Tom unscrewed the bottle and emptied out half the tablets, prepared to dry swallow them.

"It doesn't matter." Tom said quietly. "I'll join you in a minute."

"Ooowwwnn," Caitlyn waved an arm at Tom.

Sisky held off telling Michael it was about time when she saw the look on his face.

"Sorry," Michael smiled sheepishly and gave Tom the glass.

A calm expression on his face, Matt took the pill bottle and most of the pills away from Tom, leaving him with the maximum dose.

Tom breathed a sigh of relief and took the pills, sinking back into the couch.

Tom entered the living room silently, sinking into the wall.

Sisky watched Tom exit the kitchen and looked at Michael again, remembering that the German boy had told her. She moved closer to Matt as Caitlyn looked at the bottle of pills in wonder.

Michael scratched his head, "It's almost like nobody lives here."

And we're part of that nobody, let's get going! Matt jiggled impatiently.

Tom looked up, his face pale and his eyes sick. "Can we go? I don't want to be here when Shrek gets back."

Tom slipped on his shoes silently, aiming to leave without anyone noticing.

Sisky picked up the shopping bags of baby things and hugged them to herself, eyes widening a little. "You're right. We should leave. Back to my apartment?"

"You don't have to," Michael protested, "but I could give you a ride."

Matt put Caitlyn on his shoulders and picked up Tom carefully.

Tom gave a low moan of pain, before the pills set in. He made himself comfortable.

Tom had almost succeeded in slipping past and out the door when he tripped on his hem and fell face first into the floor.

"You should probably drive Tom there," Sisky paused and looked down at the other Tom. "Are you okay?"

"He's fine with Matt. I could follow," Michael pulled Tom to his feet and quickly backed away to avoid making him feel uncomfortable.

Matt raised an eyebrow impatiently.

"Whatever." Tom sighed. "Can we just leave?"

Tom stared balefully at them, rubbing his arm agitatedly.

"Alright we go now," Sisky huffed and paused in front of Tom before going out the door, "I hope you'll come with us at least for now."
