Sisky watched in surprise, hoping that Caitlyn didn't like the blood because she didn't know what she'd do if the child needed to eat it.

Matt raised an eyebrow and watched her curiously.

Caitlyn sucked a little, frowning at the new taste and deciding she didn't like it. Her face scrunched up because she couldn't get it out of her mouth.

Matt looked at his finger curiously.

Sisky reached out and wiped a drop of blood on Caitlyn's lip away. "I didn't know your teeth were that sharp."

Matt shrugged. He sucked his finger, liking the blood he got out.

We need to get you some new clothes. Sisky took a fistful of the fabric of Matt's shirt in her hand, letting go to feel how worn it was.

Matt shrugged again, making a new cut in his finger.

Matt? Are you mad at me? Sisky shifted so she could kneel next to him and watch his reaction.

Matt shook his head, sucking the blood out, satisfied.

Okay. Sisky wandered away to find something else to feed Caitlyn, leaving the baby with Matt.

Matt reached out his hand to the baby, still drinking his own blood.

Caitlyn reached for one of Matt's fingers, nibbling on it more carefully because she'd leaned that if she broke the skin some strange liquid might come out.

Matt smiled at her gentleness and took his finger out his mouth.

Caitlyn looked up at him with big eyes and pulled her mouth away to make an unintelligible happy sound.

Matt lifted the girl onto his lap, dark heart bursting with love for her.

Caitlyn giggled and held her hands out to pat Matt's face or whatever was closest while Sisky tried to figure out how to give her daughter something to drink without a bottle.

Matt tilted his head so the girl wouldn't get his lips, letting her play with the smooth skin.

Caitlyn made a happy shrieking sound then babbled, trying to make sense but not understanding the concept behind words.

Matt laughed silently, wincing at the pitch of her voice.

Caitlyn stopped babbling, looking awed by the deeper sound of Matt's laughter and the fact that she knew not many noises came out of him.

Matt looked at her, his dark fringe slipping over his eyes.

Caitlyn giggled again, reaching up to touch her own hair before making a grab for Matt's.

The vampire let the girl grab his hair.

Caitlyn tried to touch his hair to hers and ended up poking it into her eye. She wailed at the new feeling and Sisky looked over in the middle of searching for the right sized saucer for milk.
