Brendon kept his head low as he paced the sidewalk. He pulled his dark hoody tight around him, shielding him from the cold and the suspicious gazes of the passers by. He clenched his fists as he took the steps up to his apartment building two at a time. He fumbled with the key to his apartment, he wanted to get as far away from the street corners of the city as possible.
