It's when you hate what's in the mirror

Dane fell through a crack in the ceiling, landing on the floor with a muffled cry. He sat up slowly, frowning as he saw the boy huddled on the floor. Quickly changing back to his human size he moved towards the boy. "Hey kid, you alright?" He offered the boy a somewhat grubby tissue from his pocket. Removing a cookie from his other pocket he offered it to the boy as well, trying not to draw attention to the fact the cookie had a bite missing from it.

Dane blinked in surprise and held his hands up. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!"

Dane grinned sheepishly. "I'm not excatly a normal person."

Dane's grin grew and he offered the boy the cookie again. "Cookie?"

Dane shrugged and shoved the cookie into his mouth. "You said you were hungry though."

Dane smiled gently. "You can tell me, I won't tell anyone...Well maybe the voices in my mind but you can trust them!" He grinned, trying to lighten the mood.

Dane shrugged. "I'm a comedian."

Dane chuckled. "Getting myself into messes that I can talk about during my shows."

Dane shook his head. "I dont see anything funny about a boy sitting on his own." He offered his hand. "Come on, let me take you to starbucks for a coffee or something."

Dane smiled and then checked his wallet before heading towards the door. "You going to be warm enough?"

Dane looked at the boy. "You can have my jacket if you want."
