Guilty tears in his eyes, Nick sat down beside the living avian, wrapping an arm around his shoulders. The water didn't affect him.

Mikey cuddled into him, shivering. He sobbed into his dry shoulder, Nick's arms tight around him.

The steady beating of the water on the floor, the gentler patter as it hit the still body. These were the only sounds to break the silence.

Butcher went straight to the room he shared with Mikey and saw that the other man wasn't there."Be good," he put Nils down on one of the beds and left the room to get Mikey, fearing the worst.

The water slowly ran cold, but it didn't wake him. His lips began to turn blue.

Butcher heard the shower running and ran towards the sound, bursting into the room. "Mikey?!"

"B-Blackinton." Mikey stammered through chattering teeth, realising how cold he was. He leant into Butcher's warm body.

Butcher's mouth opened as if he was going to say something then he closed it again. No... He cuddled Mikey closer.
