Nick stared suspiciously at the bundle in the corner of the room. He narrowed his eyes, advancing slowly. He held Angel back.

An arm thrust out of the bundle and a small wailing sound filled the air. The two shades jumped.

"Baby Papa!" Angel whispered. He narrowed his eyes, still cautious. The bundle started screaming, a familiar sound.

Nick looked up, checking if it was Nils that was making the familiar sound. It sounds so much like him...

Ignoring her papa, Angel ran to the bundle. Nick gasped as she knelt down beside it and unwrapped it. She stayed barely tangible.

It's dead too... Nick joined his daughter, picking up the baby girl. He noticed her wings. But... What connection does it have with us?

The little girl blinked her huge blue eyes sleepily at Nick. He stroked her fine auburn hair. Surely not...?

She yawned, and Nick knew at least one part of his theory was true. He'd seen Mikey's nose wrinkle like that. "You're Mikey's..."

"Surely you can't... I mean..." Nick paused, flustered. "You're too pretty to be Ryland's."

Angel looked over curiously. "What's her name, Papa?" She asked quietly. Nick blinked.

"I... I don't know. You'd have to ask Daddy."

Nick had heard everything. He floated to the library, baby in his arms.
